Ernie Scholl
bought his first record at the age of five and his first album purchase was “Meet the Beatles” in 1963.
He began playing the guitar at age twelve, switched to bass guitar at 16 and was playing in a band at 18. After graduating from the University of Maine Farmington, he worked in Augusta for the State of Maine for about a year. Since then he has been most happy to pursue his passion for music at Everyday Music. Early concert highlights were seeing the Jimi Hendrix show in Boston Garden in 1969, Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue tour opening night at the Augusta Civic Center in 1975, Eric Clapton at the Augusta Civic Center in 1979, Bonnie Raitt in Portland in the early 1980’s, Johnny Clegg at Bowdoin College in 1987, Paul McCartney in Worcester, Mass. in 1991.

Recent concerts Kasey Chambers in Somerville, Mass, John Gorka at the Unity Performing Arts Center, Richard Thompson at the State Street Church in Portland and many acts at the Bangor, Maine Folk Festival. Many fine concerts of local, state and national musicians at Nordica Auditorium in Farmington!

Long time favorite artists are The Beatles, Bob Marley & the Wailers, Van Morrison, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bob Dylan, Altan, Capercallie.
Recent favorites are Kasey Chambers, Norah Jones, Alison Krauss, Wailin Jenny’s, Slaid Cleaves and Ray Lamontagne to name but a few!

If he could raise one musician from the dead it would be John Lennon.

Christopher Neal has been working for Everyday Music since November of 1999.  A lifelong music fan, he began his studies on Violin in third grade.  With his transition to Guitar at age twelve, he dove in to music with both feet, studying not only the technique of how to play but the history of music in general, leading to his local reputation as a “walking rock and roll encyclopedia”.  Though he is a capable Guitar player, it’s as a Bassist that he really shines.  His four and six string talents have contributed to many acts over the years, among them The Amoebas, Roma, The AC30s, and his current band, The Dead Sexies.  He also lived a teenage dream when he played bass with The Violent Femmes in March of 2006.
In addition to Bass and Guitar, Chris is also comfortable playing Drums, Keyboards, Mandolin, and nearly anything else he can get his hands on.  This comes in handy in his home recording studio, where, in addition to his own material, he has recorded artists with styles ranging from hip hop to bawdy funk; hard rock bands to solo singer-songwriters.  Besides music, his other interests include cooking, bicycling, and a nearly pathological love for cartoons.

Favorite bands: The Rolling Stones, The Clash, The Pixies, The Violent Femmes, The Beatles

Favorite songs: "You Can't Always Get What You Want"- Rolling Stones; "Straight To Hell"- The Clash; "Kiss At The End Of The Rainbow"- Mitch And Mickey
